Earlier this year, we introduced a new Korean product to the Philippine market, the Korean noodle brand, Paik Cook. Thanks to its growing popularity online, more and more Filipinos are gradually discovering the brand and its authentic flavor through its digital presence. While it has already started gaining recognition, we are eager to bring Paik Cook to an even wider audience across the Philippines.
Following the successful launch of both Paik Cook Ramyun and Paik Cook Jjajang in the Philippines, our company, in partnership with AT Korea, decided to do a series of sampling events across multiple Landers Superstore and SM Market branches in Metro Manila and key provincial cities. These included Landers Arcovia, Alabang, Davao, BGC, Vermosa, Cebu, Balintawak, Otis, Fairview, and Angeles as well as SM Market branches in Aura, Southmall, Fairview, San Lazaro, Megamall and MOA.
The sampling events began in early October and concluded in early November. Coincidentally, Landers Superstore held its first-ever Korean Festival, where our Paik Cook sampling booth was proudly featured among the event’s lineup of Korean product booths. The festival, held in select branches, showcased themed displays and dedicated sections highlighting authentic Korean brands.
Customer turnout was good with particularly mid to high foot traffic especially during weekends and mall sale events. Paik Cook items consistently drew attention from curious shoppers eager to try its authentic taste.
Based on the reactions of shoppers who tried both Paik Cook Jjajang and Paik Cook Ramyun, Paik Cook Jjajang emerged as the crowd favorite. They said they like its right taste, describing it as not too sweet, not too salty and has this smoky flavor with a bitter aftertaste. Several shoppers even looked for the products in-store to buy right after sampling which resulted in an overwhelming demand that led to Paik Cook Jjajang selling out in stores and even online, a clear proof of its growing popularity. On the other hand, Paik Cook Ramyun gained mixed reactions from the tasters. Those who’s not a fan of spicy foods said it is too spicy for them while others said the spice is tolerable and they liked it for its comforting flavor.
Overall, the sampling events were well-received, helping to increase brand visibility and awareness. It not only highlighted the quality and flavor of Paik Cook products but also strengthened Brosnep Corp.’s commitment to sharing authentic Korean food experiences in the local market.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited us on our sampling events. We hope you continue to enjoy and share your love for our Korean products.
Rest assured, fresh stocks will be available in the coming days so everyone can continue to enjoy the authentic taste of Paik Cook noodles.
You can find Paik Cook in stores at SM Supermarkets and Hypermarkets, Landers, and Fishermall, and online through Hannara Mart at Shopee, Lazada, GrabMart and TikTok Shop.
